What I’m doing now

I am CTO at Shamiri Institute in Nairobi, a youth mental health organisation. I have been in the role since February 2026. I lead four engineers. Most weeks I’m in the product: ShamiriAI, audio tooling, and keeping the site fast after this year’s overhaul.

When I’m not at a keyboard I’m thinking about the farm —Ol'Ochoy Coffee in Nandi.

I write here when something is worth keeping, and onSubstack when it wants a longer run.
